NOGEPA 2.7AF – Coxswain Free-Fall lifeboat
The Coxswain Lifeboat Conventional Lifeboat and Free-fall Training is intended for those designated as helmsman of a rescue vessel. The 2.7 AC and F Combination training is intended for both conventional and free-fall lifeboats.
The aim is to train the captains in preparation, the actual launch and the way in which the lifeboat is used in an offshore mining installation.

The following topics are covered in the Coxswain Lifeboat Conventional Lifeboat and Free-fall training:
- Ensure that the lifeboat is always operational;
- Taking care of / participating in exercises with the lifeboat;
- Respond to calamities and alarms;
- Prepare for launch;
- Passengers on board;
- Launch of the lifeboat;
- Navigate, control;
- Communication;
- Ensure the safety of the passengers.
Class times:
Participants are expected to register at 7.45 am. The training day will start at 8:30 AM and end around 4:00 PM.
Language:
The training is given in English. On request, the training for groups can be organized in a different language. It is also possible to hire an interpreter via STC-KNRM.
Admission Requirements:
To participate in this training you will need a medical examination performed by a NOGEPA certified doctor. STC-KNRM can arrange this inspection for you. It is also possible to hand over a statement from a doctor showing that you are physically able to participate in the training.
The STCW-95 Proficiency Certificate in Survival Crafts other than fast rescue boats can be considered a substitute training if the expiration date is within two years.
