Introduction
The Further Offshore Emergency Training (0.5b FOET) is a one-day refresher training. The training is intended for offshore personnel whose 0.5A BOSIET or 0.5b FOET certificate is about to expire.
During this training, knowledge and skills regarding basic safety on platforms, survival at sea and providing (basic) first aid are refreshed.
The FOET training must be followed before the expiry date of the old certificate. This training is an OPITO, NOGEPA and OLF certified training. This training is accepted worldwide. The certificate is valid for four years. The training must be repeated (again) within four years with a Further Offshore Emergency Training (NOGEPA 0.5b FOET).

Content
The following topics are covered in the FOET training:
- Fire fighting;
- Basic first aid;
- Norwegian Escape Chute (escape technique with the Norwegian Chute);
- Norwegian Offshore suit + integrated EBS STILL;
- Hypothermia;
- Marine survival techniques theory and practice;
- Lifeboat theory and practice;
- Safety in a helicopter / HUET + EBS (airpocket).
Planning:
If you follow the FOET training within 3 months before the expiry date of your old certificate, the new expiry date will be based on the expiry date of your old certificate. Are you following the training course more than 3 months before the expiry date of your old certificate? Then the new expiry date is based on the date of participation.
Class times:
Participants are expected to register at 7.45 am. The training day will end around 4 p.m., provided no additional training sessions have been booked.
Language:
The training is given in English. On request, the training for groups can be organized in a different language. It is also possible to hire an interpreter via STC-KNRM.
