Introduction
The HUET (Helicopter Underwater Escape Training) is a one-day training specially intended for offshore personnel that uses a helicopter for transport to and from their workplace.
It is also important for seafarers who regularly travel to and from helicopter by train how to travel safely and how to respond appropriately in the event of an emergency.
This course is part of the ‘Universal Basic Survival’ offshore training, but we also offer this training as ‘separate’ training.
Content
The following topics are covered in the HUET training:
- Helicopter Safety
- EBS (Emergency Breathing System)
In accordance with OPITO guidelines, various practical exercises are done in the swimming pool from a helicopter.
Class times:
Participants are expected to register at 7.45 am. The training day will end around 4 p.m., provided no additional training sessions have been booked.
Language:
The training is given in English. On request, the training for groups can be organized in a different language. It is also possible to hire an interpreter via STC-KNRM.
